Deacon of Student Ministry

TVC Responsibilities:
My primary responsibilities are to support and care for the staff, leaders, and students within the Student Ministry at TVC. Additionally, I help plan and execute Student Night, Spin, and summer camps.

When and how did the Lord save you?
I initially asked Jesus into my heart when I was 6 years old. However, through my youth, I did not fully comprehend what that commitment meant and often treated Jesus like a genie in a bottle. I would routinely repent and ask for forgiveness, but I lacked an actual personal relationship with Him. The true turning point occurred when our son, Hunter, was born. As I held him in my arms, my entire life flashed before my eyes, and I realized I did not truly know Christ. I repented sincerely, and since that day, Jesus has faithfully sanctified me into the man He desires me to be.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
Our family began attending TVC in 2008 because our son, Hunter, wanted to participate in the Students Ministry with his friends. We jumped into the community headfirst and started volunteering with the youth during our second week at church.

If you had to give a TED Talk, what subject would you choose to speak on, and why?
I would speak on the power of radical transparency. I firmly believe that when we live fully known lives and refuse to harbor hidden sin, Satan is completely stripped of the leverage he tries to use against us.

If you were to have your childhood dream job, what would your job be?
An Olympic gold medalist in swimming

Which fictional character would you be friends with in real life, and why?
I would be friends with He-Man because he stood boldly against evil, wielded an incredible sword, and rode around on a massive Battle Cat.

Favorite Hobby:
My favorite hobbies involve building and fixing things, as I love working extensively with my hands.
