Top 3-5 Responsibilities
1. Lead TVC Operations, providing direction, oversight, and subject-matter expertise to Facilities, Technology, Finance, and Administration. 2. Represent my staff as part of the Executive Team, where we operationalize and harmonize the mission, vision, and values of the church. 3. Serve as a member of the Risk Mitigation Team.

When and how did the Lord save you?
Growing up in the Bible Belt, Christianity was all around me. I went to church and knew the scriptures, but it was more about checking boxes than a real relationship with Christ. College removed me from the bubble of my Christian home, giving me freedom to do as I pleased, so that's exactly what I did... When I moved to DFW for work, something shifted. I started pursuing a relationship with Christ because I genuinely desired it and realized I was empty without it... That’s when my relationship with Jesus truly began, when “Christian” changed from a cultural label to become my identity, the source of belonging and purpose in my life.

When did you come to TVC and what brought you here?
A few years after the Lord changed my heart, I heard a guy named Matt Chandler preach... When I found out Matt had taken the lead pastor position at Highland Village First Baptist Church, I showed up on his first official Sunday—December 8, 2002. Shortly thereafter, I started lay-leading the Singles Ministry... Eventually, I felt called to do church operations full-time... Matt asked, “Well, what if you do it here?” And the rest, as they say, is history.

Book/Movie/TV Show Recommendation and Why
“About Time” (the movie). I’m the kind of person who needs frequent reminders that the most important moments in life are often fleeting, so you have to cherish them while you can. Watching “About Time” does that for me. If you have kids of your own, I can almost guarantee that you’ll cry at the end.

Childhood Dream Job
Astronaut doctor. When I was a kid, I was fascinated by the Space Shuttle, but I also wanted to become a doctor because I thought medicine was cool. As it turned out, I got a degree in biomedical engineering and worked for a short time at NASA doing biomechanical experiments on astronauts in 1g and 0g environments—so kinda close, but not quite.

Fictional Character Friend & Why
Ford Prefect. He’s a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is.

Favorite Hobby
Researching things. (But seriously—that’s what I do in my leisure time. I look things up and learn about them.)
